Many 1850's era rifles built by a variety of Ohio gunsmiths could be copied using this stock blank. Grade 4, 15/16" barrel channel, right hand.

This Leman half-stock lends itself to recreations of the Leman guns as well as many civilian half-stock rifles produced throughout the midwest during the middle 1800's. Overall length is 32"; maximum pull 15", drop 4-1/4". Barrel channel is 15-1/4"; 3/8" ramrod groove. Lock mortice is 6" wide x 1-5/8" high; butt 4-1/4" x 1-1/2". Right hand only.

The rifles from the factory of Henry Leman made a major impact on the Indian trade from 1820 - 1850. Many Leman half-stock rifles were made under contract of the U.S. Government for trade to various Indian groups.
