This lock has all the features of the other RPL locks, but was designed specifically to fit the Dixie Tennessee Mountain Mortise.

This line of locks from L & R will replace locks found in many popular "commercial" guns on the market today. These locks are not "drop-ins". They do require some inletting to allow for the working parts. Patterns for wood removal will be provided in a booklet of instructions packaged with the lock. Depending  on skill level , they can be installed in 15 to 35 minutes  using common chisles and gouges.

This kit produces a simple, dependable, fast-action lock for a light bench gun. Will work with 1" barrels; however, works best with 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" barrels. Total length approximately 6".

Investment cast steel parts come with holes spotted but not drilled or tapped. Pins and screws not included. Trigger & hammer must be hardened at engagement points. Mainspring must be tempered. Designed to fit a pistol grip stock. Replacement mainspring is available. Complete with instructions on tempering of mainspring.
