Like all of the quality locks from L & R, this one has v-springs, bridle & fly; comes fully hardened and ready for use. Measures 4-11/16" long, 1" high. Lock plate is cut for hook breech as shown (use breech plug #41200). Right hand only.

This lock has also been called the "Baby Durs Egg" or the "John Bailes" lock. Swan or goose neck style hammer, Roller frizzen; fly equipped tumbler as well as sear have raised bearing surfaces to reduce contact with plate and bridle, reducing friction. Late English design "waterproof" pan cover allows for a zero tollerance frizzen to pan fit. Inside polished, internal parts are heat treated and pre-tuned.

Roller frizzen with fitted pan sealer. Raised bearing surfaces on tumbler and sear, proper geometry and short hammer fall for fast lock timing. The builder will appreciate the thicker bolster to aid proper stock profile and the one-position sear for proper trigger set up. While this lock is slightly larger than the Siler, it is adaptable to the large Siler mortise.
